LUCAS COUNTY PROTECTIVE SERVICES CHILD/ADULT SAFETY TRAINING

Topics covered: a) mandatory reporter obligations, b) the reporting process to CSB, c) follow-up d) CSB investigation and assessment. Also covered: a) issues concerning site safety, b) what our volunteers should look for in terms of abuse, whether of a minor or an adult, c) the extent our volunteers or mandatory reporters should be involved in the interview and investigation process; St. Lucas-specific policies and procedures. This training fulfills Child/Adult Safety Training for all volunteers who do not work directly with children or do not have an entry key to the church. For the latter, Darkness to Light online training is required in addition to this in person training. All staff and keyholders should take a refresher course every three years. Sign up for “Safety” on the back of your I Worship Today card, so we know how many to prepare for. Location of training will be determined by the number who sign up.
